Minister of Health Dr. Makdes Daba said that the distribution of medical resources is being done to prevent and control infectious and non-infectious diseases associated with the winter season.

The minister pointed out that prevention, drug distribution and awareness activities are being carried out especially for diseases such as malaria, cholera and measles.

Dr. Megdes Daba, who recalled that in Ethiopia, due to climate change and the distraction of the society, especially in some areas, the spread of malaria has reached the level of an epidemic; They announced that the threat can be reduced by drug and drug distribution, chemical spraying and awareness activities.

On the other hand, the minister stated that the cholera disease which occurred in 152 districts was controlled in 109 districts and the measles disease which occurred in 444 districts was controlled in 422 districts.

He also pointed out that anti-malarial drugs capable of treating 6 million patients have been distributed to the states during the winter months and 7 million rapid malaria test kits have been purchased.
