The Ministry of Education has announced that the first round of the 2014 Class 12 National Leaving Examination has ended peacefully.

It is said that the first round of examination given to social science students was completed peacefully except for a few problems encountered in certain areas.

In a statement on the completion of the exam, the ministry said that the 12th grade exit exam for social science students had two unexpected incidents.

It is said that 1 student died and 451 students were injured in a bridge collapse accident at Hawassa University.

On the other hand, it was stated that 12 thousand 787 students did not take the exam because of the students of certain universities saying "We did not take the exam".

The Ministry of Education has announced that students at Magdala Amba, Debremarkos, Debretabor and Bahardar universities who have voluntarily refused to take the exam for various reasons will not be given the opportunity to retake the exam.

It is said that it has become a tragic incident, especially in Debretabor University, where one student died and others were injured in a conflict caused by this.

It has been stated that the second round of exams for natural science students will start from next Tuesday, October 8.

The Education Assessment and Examinations Service, on the other hand, announced that the first round of the Ethiopian Secondary School Completion Social Science Examination has been completed and thanked all those who contributed positively to the completion of this work.
