1.5 million pilgrims attended Geshen Debre Kerbe's annual royal festival ended peacefully.

 

The governor of Geshen Debre Kerbe announced that 1.5 million visitors and devotees attended this year's festival.

 

Devotees who came from different areas to attend the festival celebrated the festival without any security problem, the Head of Geshen Debre Kerbe Monastery, Komos Aba Leikun Wardhaifrau told Bisrat Radio.

 

He recalled that the festival was not widely celebrated for two years due to the spread of Kovid-19 and the invasion of HWOT.

 

In order to increase the number of visitors to Geshen Debre Kerbe, the Museum of Relics was opened for use on September 17, 2012. It is said that works will be done to make Geshen Debre Kerbe Monastery, which is the location of the Cross of Christ, a tourist destination.
