7.2 billion saplings have been prepared for this year's green footprint program - Ministry of Agriculture

Minister of Agriculture Girma Amente (Dr.) said that 7.2 billion seedlings have been prepared for this year's green footprint program.

The Minister also announced that 1.2 million hectares of land has been prepared for the plantation at the national level.

A consultation forum focused on the preparations for this year's Green Footprint program was held.

Girma Amente (Dr.) reminded that 7.5 billion saplings of economic value were planted in the Green Footprint program in 2015.

They indicated that the success rate of the seedlings planted in a survey has reached 90 percent.
