The management board of the Federal Bar Association was established.

A Federal Bar Association Management Board was established, which was believed to modernize the justice and advocacy system in Ethiopia.

According to the Minister of Justice, Dr. Gideon Timothy, the legal system and advocacy process in Ethiopia is increasingly being driven by the interests of individuals.

Therefore, there is a need to establish a board of lawyers governed by law and law alone.

With this, the first Federal Bar Association Management Board in Ethiopia has been established.

The Board is also responsible to the Ministry of Justice.

He also explained that the board was established with the main objective of modernizing the justice and advocacy system.

The executive members of the board held the first meeting with the leaders of the ministry today, and from tomorrow the board will be in full force.

Although there are two professional associations of lawyers in Ethiopia, this is the first to be established at the board level.

The Federal Lawyers Association of Ethiopia was founded in January 2014 and it is remembered that the association held its founding and first general assembly at that time.

The association was established through the Federal Advocacy Service Licensing and Management Decree approved in July 2013.

ESA reported that the association is made up of professionals engaged in the profession of advocacy at the federal level.
