Demeke instructed the Addis Ababa City Administration, Gulele Sub-City, Woreda 2, to start the renovation work of the vulnerable people living in the area called July 19.
He said the government's main focus is to ensure the safety of its citizens, solve the problem of high cost of living, and improve the lives of the vulnerable.
He recalled that a year ago, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs did the same work in different areas outside of Addis Ababa, but this summer, it will be better to renovate more vulnerable houses than last year.
Demeke said the houses will be closely monitored until the renovation is completed and the residents will be ready in a short period of time.
It is said that the disabled people who started the renovation of their homes today have been living around July 19 for many years.
