EBC is a great institution fulfilling its social responsibility: Honorable Dr. Binyamin Beliko 

 

#Ethiopia | The Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) is a great institution fulfilling its social responsibility, said the founder of the Macedonian Broadcasting Corporation, Honorable Dr. Binyamin Beliko. 

 

He also thanked EBC for its partnership in reaching the Macedonian people through live radio and television broadcasts, various programs, free advertising, and extensive social media coverage. 

 

EBC leaders and staff today visited the Elderly and Mentally Ill Support Center in Macedonia and visited those who are receiving support and care. 

 

Ato Assefa Bekele, Head of the Language Sector of EBC, in the capacity of Deputy Executive Director, presented the 500 thousand birr donated by employees and leaders to support Macedonia to Honorable Dr. Binyamin Beliko. 

 

Ato Assefa said that EBC has been a partner since its establishment in Macedonia and that the work it is doing in the future will benefit the country and the people, so we will continue together. 

 

Macedonia will hold its national fundraising program tomorrow (February 1, 2017). EBC will also be present at the Macedonia Center and, as usual, provide free advertising services, confirming its main partner, he said. 

 

Dr. Binyamin Beliko, who stated that the center needs more than 2 million birr per day to care for those who need support, stated that it spends about 60 million birr per month. 

 

Therefore, he said that he is seeking continuous support from Ethiopians to help our people. 

 

The Macedonia Elderly and Mentally Ill Support Center, which was launched 13 years ago, has now organized more than 40 centers in various parts of Ethiopia and is helping more than 8,000 people. 

 

Stating that 5 billion birr is needed to complete the projects started in Macedonia, he called on everyone to support the center by sending a message saying OK to 7979, Tele Birr, and all banks, and 8161, and to support the center by sending a message saying OK to 8161.
