The International Tourism Day that was celebrated in Asosa has ended

September 15/2015 (Walta) International Tourism Day, which was celebrated for the past three days in Asosa, the capital of Benishangul Gumuz region, ended.

Tourism Minister Nasise Chale pointed out that a new way of thinking is needed to develop the sector and said that both private and public institutions should work to develop it to the required level.

He said domestic tourism activity is one of the factors that stimulate the tourism sector and preparations have been made to work throughout the year.

In this regard, a group led by the regional head of state Ashadle Hassan and Tourism Minister Nasise Chali visited the Renaissance Dam, which is used as a tourist attraction.

Following the national change, various tourist destinations are being built, among which the great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam is mentioned.

The Minister of Tourism said that necessary preparations are being made to make Renaissance Dam a big tourist destination.

The state governor Ashadli Hassan pointed out that the region has many tourist resources and said that extensive works are being done to properly utilize the resources.

The 35th World Tourism Day celebration has ended and the Southwest Ethiopia region, which will host the 36th next year, has received the trophy.
