Addis Ababa, September The investment and industry office of the region announced that the investment license granted in the Oromia region was successful in generating foreign currency.

 

The head of the office, Dr. Teshome Adugna, said that the Oromia region had given permission for 3 thousand 588 investment projects in the 2014 fiscal year.

 

He stated that the work being done with the investment permit is being recorded successfully in terms of increasing the country's economy and earning foreign currency.

 

The head stated this in his speech during the 9th anniversary of Arfasa Total Trade Private Association, which is working in agriculture, manufacturing and trade sectors in Ethiopia with a large capital, and is collecting 57 million birr in income tax per year in East Showa Zone, Adami Tulu.

 

The head of the office thanked Arfasa Private Association which is contributing to the success recorded in the sector.

 

The National Regional Government of Oromia confirmed that the role of investors engaged in investment activities in the region is significant in helping the development of the region and reducing unemployment.

 

The founder and managing director of the joint stock association, Ato Degepa Sme, said that his company has faced various challenges and is working well and has requested the support of the states and the federal government for the extensive investment in the future.
