Rutha Mengsteab, one of the most loved artists in the city. She is known for her role in many different films.

In the Early Childhood Movement Week that we started today, we have set a vision of "making Addis Ababa the best African city for raising children" and it is a program that aims to provide integrated services to parents and children.

Starting from this year, in the next 3 years:

❖ Setting up a parent counseling and universal service support system,

❖ Developing 1000 nursery schools,

❖ Building 12000 playgrounds for children;

❖ 1095 Transforming our pre-primary schools,

❖ Making 101 health centers convenient for early childhood development services

❖ 5. Training and deployment of staff who provide counseling services to parents and guardians

❖ We will build a center of excellence that will support our country's and Africa's early childhood activities through research and development.

Accordingly;

During the Early Childhood Movement Week that we started today, we have trained 2500 professionals in the field of child care and upbringing and put them to work. On this occasion, many young women of our city got job opportunities.

In addition, we inaugurated the children's clinic built in Kbebe Sun and the child care center built in Ledta Sub-city.

Since the change, we have been working on people-oriented policies in our city, focusing on building the next generation, and we will continue to strengthen our work in the future.

To make this program successful, our city and federal offices, non-governmental organizations, especially Big Win Philanthropies and Bernard Van Leer, have given us great technical and financial support. I would like to congratulate everyone on behalf of myself and the city administration.
