The house of the famous and veteran Somali musician Hawa Talen was rebuilt with the support of the government and charitable individuals and was handed over today.
Artist Hawa Talen's house in Addis Ababa has been completed and fully furnished with the cooperation of the Culture, Arts and Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and stakeholders.
At today's event, Mr. Kajela Merdasa, Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and Dr. Hirut Kasau, Head of the Culture, Arts and Tourism Bureau of the City Administration inaugurated the house.
Artist Hawa Talen is the first Somali traditional music performer and has been serving at the Patriot Theater for a long time.
The artist is especially known for her music called Kiria. She expressed that she was very happy when she took over the house that was demolished and rebuilt today, as the house she lives in, which she owes to the country, has many problems.
