Addis Ababa, July 16 (WIC) - The Ministry of Transport and Logistics, together with the leaders and staff of the institutions, conducted a tree planting program for the second time this year in East Shoa Zone, Lome Woreda, Tsede Kebele.

The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Hon. He said electric vehicles are being made available to the public as an alternative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. He said the electric vehicles have a significant role to play in reducing the country's fuel consumption.

He said the 4th seedling transplanting program in collaboration with Green Tech Africa / Ethiopia is unique in that it will further promote green transport.

Minister of Transport and Logistics, Bereo Hassan, on his part said the second round of transplanting this year will be a great opportunity for the sector to achieve its goal. "We are expected to develop the environment and pass it on to the next generation," said State Minister Bereo Hassan. He said private investors have an irreplaceable role to play in the expansion of electric vehicles.

The Ministry of Transport and Logistics has planted more than 30,000 seedlings in two rounds in East Shoa Zone, Lome Woreda, Tsede Kebele.
