The Ethio-Djibouti Railway Joint Stock Company has developed a 3-year strategy to pay off the high debt on which its infrastructure was built.

We have heard that the railway plans to transport 4.6 million tons of freight in this year's operating period.

He explained that the railway, which transported 2.6 million tons of freight in the previous operating period, will double its freight volume this year under the 3-year strategy.

We have heard that the Ethio-Djibouti Railway is committed to increasing train speed, facilitating import and export trade, and transporting high-value freight from countries around the world to Ethiopia.

He said that the railway will also increase its speed limit to 60 kilometers per hour from the current one in the 3-year period.
