Design concept.

African shape:

The African shape looks like it was made with a brush. The brush shows us movement. The image of Africa drawn by the brush moves and enters Addis Ababa. This design indicates that Addis Ababa is the heart of Africa.

The flower

The flower has 8 leaves, the indigenous poppy, and the leaves point to all directions with Addis Ababa as the center, which means that the city is connected to Africa in all directions. Both the flower and Africa are made to represent visual movement. They point to a continent that is rapidly changing and moving. The flower also has a visual spin like a power plant turbine. The movement of the images refers to various activities that define our city, including diplomacy, and also reminds us that the city is the center and heart of Africa's vigilance.

Color selection.

green:-

Green is our favorite color that symbolizes peace, prosperity and tranquility. It shows peace in all this activity. It keeps the movement in balance.

Yellow

The color yellow represents enlightenment, wisdom and hope.

Yellow and green colors are Pan African colors. It is found on the flags of both Ethiopia and other African countries. In this way, the design is saying that our city is not only our city but also the city of Africans.
