The Ethiopian Red Cross Society was given support worth more than 70 million birr

The Ethiopian Red Cross Society has received support for ambulances and other resources worth more than 70 million birr.

The support was provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Dutch and Austrian Red Cross Societies.

The committee and the associations supported 20 ambulances, 19 light vehicles and 25 generators.

It is said that the support will mainly be used to solve problems by providing access to health facilities in areas affected by conflict and natural disasters.

Nicolas Von Arx, head of the Ethiopian delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross, said that the aid was donated in consideration of the areas of the country that have faced a shortage of medical supplies due to conflicts and natural disasters.

The General Secretary of the Ethiopian Red Cross Society, Mr. Getachew Taa, said that the support will contribute to those affected by drought and other natural and man-made disasters, as well as to the health facilities in the war-torn areas.
