The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) have announced that they will work closely together to take their relationship that has lasted for more than half a century to a higher level.

This was revealed when officials and employees of the United Nations responsible institutions, including the United Nations Coordinator in Ethiopia, held a consultation program with the management members of the bank.

 

In this program held at the bank's newly built headquarters building, the bank's president, Ato Sano, in his welcome message, recalled that the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, which has served for 80 fruitful years, opened a branch and started service when the office of the African Economic Commission was inaugurated.

 

Abe said that this global relationship has been able to span over 63 years by working together on social and economic activities that are prioritized to alleviate poverty.

 

The coordinator of the United Nations in Ethiopia, Dr. Catherine Sozi, who attended the program, said that in all the activities of the United Nations institutions to alleviate poverty in Ethiopia, the bank has been supporting our efforts to bring economic growth as the main financial partner.

 

A gift and recognition program was held for the United Nations responsible institutions and the African Economic Commission, which stated that the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia has been a long-time partner in the program.
