The Ethiopian Ambassador to China, Teshome Toga, stated that efforts are being made to further strengthen the bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and China based on various fields of cooperation.

 

Ambassador Teshome Toga said that the relationship between Ethiopia and China has lasted for more than 50 years and has been expanding and strengthening in various fields of cooperation.

 

He mentioned that China is a friendly country that actively participates in many development fields in Ethiopia and said that China is helping Ethiopia's development activities with financial and technical support.

 

In the past years, he mentioned that he has provided support in road infrastructure development, energy development, transport and other security-oriented development sectors that the Ethiopian government has given attention to.

 

On the other hand, the participation of Chinese investors in manufacturing in Ethiopia, especially in the textile and pharmaceutical sectors, is growing and they said that the overall relationship is getting stronger.

 

He pointed out that in order to further strengthen the participation of Chinese investors in Ethiopia, the embassy is working extensively to promote investment options in Ethiopia by aligning them with the country's ten-year master plan.
