The 85-year-old rich, 12th grade national exam candidate from Wolaita

 

Mr. Bafa Bagaje Olito was born and grew up in a place called Bokama Fekaka, Baira Koisha District, Wolaita Zone.

 

Ato Bafa Bagaje is 85 years old today. We found them to be the oldest among the examinees accepted by Wolaita Sodo University for the 2014 grade 12 national examination.

 

Bafa Bagaje is the father of 8 children. They told us that four of their children are boys and the rest are girls.

 

When we asked them what motivated them to study at this age, they answered: "I started school at this age to encourage my children when they returned from school in the area saying they would not go to school and also to encourage the residents in our area who were left behind in education due to various reasons."

 

Today, Mr. Bafa Bagaje's children and individuals who dropped out of school for various reasons told us that they are following in his footsteps and pursuing their studies. Isn't that what being a great role model means!?
