Fana Broadcasting Corporation and Artificial Intelligence Institute signed a memorandum of understanding to enable them to work together.

 

Addis Ababa, December 29 , 2022 Fana Broadcasting Corporation and Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute signed a memorandum of understanding today that will enable them to work together on various strategic issues.

 

The agreement was signed by the CEO of Fana Broadcasting Corporation, Admasu Damtue, and the Director General of the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, Worku Gachna.

 

It was pointed out at the signing ceremony that the agreement signed by the two institutions will help in the collection and management of information with the help of technology.

 

The director general of the institute, Warku Gachna, said that the agreement will help the youth with technology to help the institute's efforts to solve problems through the media.

 

Fana is the largest institution in the media industry, the director said, and the agreement will allow the institute to update its operations using the technologies it has enriched.

 

He pointed out that the young generation will be able to reach out through Fana to enable them to learn about artificial intelligence and create smart technology.

 

The Chief Executive Officer of Fana Broadcasting Corporation, Admasu Damtyu, on his part, mentioned that the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute has been providing various assistance to Fana and thanked him.

 

He said that it is important to work with institutions such as Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence to create a competent citizen who is developed with information and to make the work of the media institution effective.

 

He said that today's agreement is an opportunity to curb the spread of false information, which has become a challenge in this information and digital age, to modernize media practices and to remain competitive in general.
