Addis Ababa, Ethiopia-born Naomi Girma is showing her outstanding performance in the US Women's National Team at the Women's World Cup.

 

The junior player received her first call-up to the 2020 US Women's National Team and played 90 minutes for the first time in the USA's win over Uzbekistan.

 

A four-time North American Women's Championship qualifier, Naomi helped the US Women's National Team qualify for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2024 Summer Olympics.

 

Naomi is showing her great performance by being included in the US national team for the 9th Women's World Cup being hosted by New Zealand and Australia.

 

Naomi contributed to her college team winning the Stanford Cup in 2019 and was included in the top 12 defensive players, according to the US Embassy.

 

Naomi, who led the U.S. Under-20 National Team in scoring in 2020, was selected as the U.S. Women's Player of the Year in the same year.
