Dr. Mebratu Alemu, Chairman of the Joint Council of Ethiopian Political Parties, said that we should all support and help the work of building a strong national army that is a national asset and a national asset.

 

The illegitimacy of the organization of regional special forces, the perception of each other as a threat between regions, and the movement to solve problems by force have forced the reorganization of the special forces.

 

The reorganization of regional special forces by federal and regional security institutions was reviewed two days ago in the presence of Chief of General Staff Field Marshal Birhanu Jula, generals, federal police and regional officials.

 

In the forum, it was mentioned that the reorganization work has been strengthened in all regions and since April 7, 2015, there is no organization and structure called regional special force, the field marshal confirmed.

 

Dr. Mebratu Alemu, Chairman of the Joint Council of Ethiopian Political Parties, spoke to ESA on the same issue. They talk about the fact that the special force organized by the states for years is unconstitutional.

 

He also recalled that the organization and implementation of special forces was not consistent in the states and was not governed by the same laws and regulations.

 

ESA also reported that the way the regional special forces were built was to serve a few politicians instead of protecting the security of the country and the people.

 

Therefore, Dr. Mebratu stated that the reorganization of the regional special forces by the federal and regional security institutions is crucial for building a united national army in Ethiopia and creating lasting peace and stability.

 

He said that the security structure in Ethiopia is determined by defense, federal police, regional police and militia only.

 

Dr. Mebratu added that we should all support and help the work of building a strong united national army that is the protection of Ethiopia's sovereignty and the assets of the people.
