According to the head of the office, Ato Ahmed Idris, the Amibera district administration and the local community have been working hard to extinguish the wildfire that has been raging for three days, but the fire has not been controlled yet.

 

The head stated that the fire extinguishing work has been intensified and indicated that since the fire cannot be extinguished by human power alone, fire extinguishing work is being carried out with the help of loaders to prevent it from spreading to other areas.

 

He pointed out that the high winds and dry grass in the area are the reasons for the fire to spread, and he added that work is being done to clear and remove flammable materials from the area.

 

The fire broke out in the "Golba" area of ​​the park, which is home to wild animals.

 

The official said that the total area of ​​the park is 1,099 square kilometers. So far, more than 200 hectares of grass and rocks have been damaged by the fire.

 

He said that the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage will be announced later. He said that great efforts are being made to completely control the fire, EZA reported.
