It was stated that providing sustainable and adequate air transport service is only possible if member countries work in cooperation.

It was also announced that Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates have reached an agreement that will allow for the upgrade of their air transport service to a higher-level air transport service agreement.

This was stated by Mr. Yohannes Abara, the Director General of the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority.

The 42nd Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which spans several days, is currently being held in Montreal, Canada.

It is said that the Director General, in his speech to the member states\' assembly, presented ideas concerning this very necessity of cooperation.

They noted that Ethiopia, which participated as a founding member in the conference held 80 years ago in Chicago, USA, to establish the International Civil Aviation Organization, has a historical connection with the organization.

We have observed from the institution\'s social media page that they emphasized Ethiopia\'s status as a country that has now been able to deploy robust civil aviation operational procedures.

In parallel to the assembly, it was announced that Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates have reached an agreement through discussions aimed at upgrading the air transport service to a higher-level agreement, following the annulment of a previous memorandum of understanding between the two countries.
