Air pollution killed 1.8 million people worldwide in 2021.
709 of these deaths were children under the age of five.
Studies have shown that air-borne diseases are contagious.
Heart disease, pneumonia, cirrhosis, Alzheimer's, UTIs, brain inflammation, depression, miscarriage, reduced fertility, low birth weight and other diseases.
"These diseases do not kill a person at once.
They can shorten our lifespan over time and
they also put us at risk for serious illness," they say.
Air pollution is cutting 1.8 years off our lives.
