After two years, more than 1 million guests will be present when the King's Day of Geshen Debre Kerbe is celebrated with splendor.

 

It has been stated that the Gshen Debre Kerbe festival, which was not celebrated at the required level in the last two years due to the war waged by the HWOT group, which was classified as terrorism by the people and the people, will be celebrated this year.

 

It has been stated that the preparatory work has been completed to celebrate the King's Day of Geshen Debre Kerbe, which is celebrated every year on September 21, in a safe manner. It has been stated that there will be no security threat as there is no fighting with the HHW in the zone. It is said that pilgrims from different parts of Ethiopia will come to celebrate the festival, and it is expected that more than one million people will attend, the head of the South Wolo Zone Culture and Tourism Department, Mr. Mesfen Mekonen, told Bisrat Radio.

 

He said that in terms of infrastructure, road paving work, a situation where health services can be found nearby and other activities have been carried out. Mesfen Mekonen added that there will be a temporary hearing to take action against those who commit theft during the festival and told Bisrat Radio.

 

Geshen Debre Kerbe is located on Mount Geshen in Ambasal District, 82 kilometers from Dese City, the capital of South Wolo Zone.
