An integrated youth development project named "Kfta" that will benefit the youth socially and economically in 17 cities in the country has officially started its work in Dredawa city.

The Honorable Mayor of Dredawa administration attended the job context forum that brings together employers and jobseeking youths from Dir Johar and gave an opening speech. He said that "Kfta" is an integrated development organization that stands by the government and works for the benefit of the youth by accelerating its development.

 

He said that the project will involve the high productive forces of the country and the administration to expand the opportunities for entrepreneurs and employment, develop their talents and create an opportunity for the youth to expand their horizons of communication.

In the future, the mayor assured that he would provide the necessary support and supervision to make the project successful.

It is stated that the project not only provides youth with job creation and life skills training, but also includes support for youth to change their lives.

 

On his part, Robel Getachew, the head of the administration's work skills and technology development office, said that although efforts are being made by the government alone to develop skills that will lead to employment, the participation of other stakeholders is also important.

 

According to Mrs. Merhawit Tsagaye, head of employment of Ethio Jobs organization; He said that the project is primarily an institution that works to tackle unemployment, and especially to create opportunities for job-seeking youths to register and find employment with various employers' organizations.

He said that today, more than 400 students trained in various fields by the organization and 20 organizations came to meet job seekers and employers.

 

Ashenafi Dejenem, the Dredawa Cluster Manager of the Elevation Project, said that the project will provide access to 2 million youth nationwide. He also said that they will get loan services by facilitating the opportunity for young people who want to be employed and create their own jobs.

 

Invited guests, including senior government officials, attended the program held at the Sports Commission's headquarters in Gibi regarding the official launch of the project.
