A consultation was held on the implementation of the cloud development project and the next plans

A consultation was held with the stakeholders on the results of the cloud enhancement implementation and subsequent plans, which is one of the national special projects of the Information Network Security Administration (IMDA).

The workshop was attended by the stakeholders of the project, IMDEA, National Institute of Meteorology, Ministry of Irrigation and Lowland Environment, Office of the President of Somali Regional Government, Airline Group, World Resources Institute, Space Science and Geospatial Institute.

One of the tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Cloud Development Directorate is to coordinate stakeholders and carry out operations to make cloud development technology effective.

Since 2013, when the technology entered our country and was implemented, the main activities, achievements, opportunities and challenges have been explained to the stakeholders by the director of the project Mr. Mebratu.

A study showing the promising results of the precipitation operation from the air and the ground, Dr. Madki Wende from Debre Markos University presented his research work based on operational input and data from the National Meteorological Institute.

Based on the presentation, the next plans, collaborations and activities were discussed through the director of IMDEA, Mr. Yodahe Ariaslase.

Participants appreciated the program and were consulted on the conditions under which they could work together and help the project to the expected level.

This cloud enrichment project focuses on operations, practical research and development, enabling infrastructure, and supports the national mission of drought prevention, according to the information we received from Emeda.

The main goal of the project is to reduce drought, increase fertility and increase productivity, and avoid risks to humans and animals.
