A new price of cement has been announced

Addis Ababa, The Ministry of Trade and Regional Communications announced that it has issued a new price rate to adjust the rising price of cement production.

The ministry has asked the factories to make price adjustments to fix the increasing price of cement. The price was too high.

Based on this, the new price rate at which cement leaves the factory has been decided to be 510 Birr minimum and 683 Birr 44 cents maximum.

The Minister of Trade and Regional Relations, Ato Gebrekres Chala, said that due to the lack of cement production, priority is being given to government works.

He said that other large projects have been facilitated by obtaining confirmation from the relevant government institution and purchasing products directly from factories.

Regarding private users, he explained that since it is known what the needs of all city administrations and regions are, they will get them through government development organizations and organized associations.

He said that transactions carried out in various places with cement other than those approved by the city administrations and regions are illegal and legal action will be taken from the date of notification by the institution.

The sale in the cities will be sold considering the cost of transportation, loading and unloading as well as warehouse rent.
