The Financial Security Service has announced that Motor Vehicle Dealers have been prepared as Non-Financial Trade and Professional Activities Labeling Guideline No. 934/2015.

It is said that the directive was prepared to prevent and control the legalization of money or property obtained from crime and the financial support of terrorism to create a system that will enable the stakeholders to prevent and control the crimes in the activities they carry out.

The reason for the need to name motor vehicle dealers as non-financial business and professional activities is that the motor vehicle trade system has been proven by research to be a hiding sector for the crime of providing money or property obtained through criminal activities under the guise of being legal and providing financial assistance to terrorism.

Therefore, it is stated that the directive is to protect the dealers of motor vehicles from being the tools of the crimes and to prevent the crimes from being committed by placing their responsibilities in the legal framework.

It has been pointed out that motor vehicle dealers include those who manufacture, import, export, distribute, rent, sell and are related to the sector.
