The Ethio-Djibouti Railway has reported that more than 24 train loads have been stranded for four full days due to a disruption in electric power supply.

As a result, we have heard that export products missed their shipping deadlines.

These loads consist of import and export goods, including steel, oil, fertilizer, and other commodities.

Within these four days, we have also heard that eight #railway_transport services were canceled.

The cause of this issue has been identified as the interruption of electric power service.

Although there may be perishable goods among the import and export loads, we have heard that the railway transport service was able to deliver to the Djibouti port using an alternative power source.

The Ethio-Djibouti Railway has stated that it is facilitating services for customers, bulk cargo, and container loads in the coming days to compensate for this disruption.

The service provider has also mentioned that, instead of counting each truck and container individually, they are simplifying the documentation process at Djibouti customs by using the number of train trips.
