Addis Ababa Applied Polytechnic College celebrated its eightieth year

 

At the 80th year graduation program of Practical-Aid Polytechnic, Ministry of Labor and Skills Mrs. Mefriyat Kamil, Minister of State for Labor and Skills Dr. Beker Shalen, Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa City Manager, Addis Ababa Practical-Aid Polytechnic Mr. Senior officials of the federal and Addis Ababa city administrations, including the dean Ato Grum Girma, were present and called on everyone to do their part so that the school continues to be the best it can be.

 

The Addis Ababa Practical Polytechnic Training College has successfully graduated young professionals with a wide range of skills, and the college has been able to change the low attitude we have towards technical and vocational training institutions at the national level.

 

The minister emphasized that the government will organize technical and vocational training institutions in a different way, in a better way, to modernize our country's industrial growth, new innovations that make work easier to be created in the country, including expansion works, and the general change works started in the sector will be strengthened and continue in a sustainable manner.

 

Mrs. Muferihat Kamil said that we will work together to answer the basic questions of teachers and coaches.

 

Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa city manager, Ato Tolatu Yeine, said that the college's contribution to the overall development of our country in the past eighty years is outstanding. I should continue to be strong, he said.

 

The general manager mentioned that the city administration has allocated more than one hundred million birr to support the general services provided by the college and built various training, workshop and administrative buildings.

 

The general manager, Mr. Tolatu, said that for the universal prosperity that our country needs now, the government will work diligently to support other vocational training schools, including this college.

 

 Addis Ababa Applied Polytechnic College since its establishment in 1934, has trained and graduated more than one hundred thousand students who can effectively play their part in the overall development of our country, said the dean of the college, Mr. Gurum Girma.

 

The college owns more than 60 workshops, said the dean of the college Mr. Goorum, who said that they provide all the necessary input support to the enterprises in our city.

 

In the next ten years, the college will become a prominent, competitive and internally generated capacity in East Africa
