A 16-year-old boy has been arrested for "deliberately cutting down" a 300-year-old myrtle tree in England.

 

Park officials said the teenager felled the Sycamore Gap tree at night, hiding from people.

 

The tree, located in the Northumberland National Park in Northeastern England, is distinguished not only by its age, but also by the fact that it is located at the dividing point of two hills.
