Addis Media Network started its regular broadcast on FM 96.3 Afan Oromo.

Addis Media Network has started its regular broadcast of Afan Oromo news and programs on FM 96.3 radio today.

It is known that since October 28/2015, the station has been producing and broadcasting news and programs in Afan Oromo for two hours a day.

Today, Afan Oromo Radio News and Program has officially started its regular broadcast.

The Afan Oromo News and Program program, which was able to generate a large number of listeners and followers during the trial broadcast, showed that there was a high demand of listeners to go into regular broadcasting in a short period of time.

At the same time, the CEO of Addis Media Network, Mr. Bekele Muleta, said that the institution has completed preparations to start broadcasting in Afar as soon as possible, in addition to Amharic, English and Afan Oromo, in addition to Amharic and English, as well as Afan Oromo.

In addition, Ato Bekele said that the regular broadcasting that started in Afan Oromo on radio will continue to be strengthened in other languages as well, just as it has been done to achieve language diversity on television. In particular, apart from promoting language diversity, he said that content works that have preserved their efforts will be focused on delivering them to the listeners.

Addis Media Network Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Head of Radio Sector Mrs. Zahara Syed, in her message at the launch of the broadcast, stated that one of the 10-year strategic plan being led by the institution is to make linguistic diversity accessible through mediums.

He further said that he will work to come in other languages in a manner that focuses on the information needs and accessibility of the city dwellers.

Afan Oromo Radio News and Program broadcasts two hours of news and programs from Monday to Friday from 1:00-3:00 PM and on weekends from 10:00-12:00 PM.

The program and news are accessible through the new media network's social networking page in addition to the FM 96.3 radio live broadcast.
