Ethiopia's special coffee promotion expo was held in America

The Ethiopian Special Coffee Promotion Expo was held in Portland, Oregon, USA.

 

The program to promote Ethiopia's specialty coffee was opened by officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Coffee and Tea Authority and the Ethiopian Coffee Exporters Association.

 

Constructive discussions were held with organizations known for producing coffee and the necessary technologies for the sector, and the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with Ely Cafe.

 

It has been suggested that this will enable the sharing of experiences and capacity building training for professionals.

 

Ethiopia's coffee production and productivity, policy reforms being adopted to modernize the marketing system, and obstacles being faced are explained.

 

According to the Ethiopian Embassy in the United States, there was a presentation on the work being done to maintain the scientific standards of Ethiopia's coffee development and production process.

 

The participants said that the coffee expo allowed thousands of visitors to taste Ethiopia's special coffee and understand the potential of Ethiopia and created an opportunity to establish ties with organizations from different countries engaged in the sector.
