On the occasion of New Year's Day, amnesty was given to the drivers found to have broken the law

 

East Gojam Zone Road Traffic Safety has announced that it has given amnesty to more than four hundred drivers who have violated the law on the occasion of New Year's Day.

 

The amnesty was given on the occasion of the New Year 2015 and 442 drivers who were found to have violated various laws and regulations were amnestied, Deputy Commander of East Gojam Zone Road Traffic Safety said to Basrat Radio.

 

He said that the 1st day of Pagume will be used for this purpose and it will be implemented in all the districts in the zone. It has been stated that the amnesty drivers have been found guilty of charging more than the fare, not having a driver's license, not obeying the traffic lights, charging profit and violating other laws and regulations. It was given by preparing a Happy New Year wish card for the drivers and it was stated that awareness work was done to avoid such activities in 2015.
