Empower Plates, Empower Dreams!

Swear charts. Dreams come true!

#Ethiopia Leah is a 16-year-old girl. She wrote a book. She wrote not a book of poetry or fiction or children's stories. More knowledge, more reading; It takes a lot of experience, and it's a matter that requires discussion with many nutritionists.

 The book that she prepared is a book that contains instructions on how to prepare food from home-grown ingredients so that children can grow up without suffering from malnutrition.

This book was written in English and is currently translated into Amharic. Lia's plan is to have this book translated into different Ethiopian languages and reach every part of the country so that mothers and other family members take action to save children from malnutrition and its consequences. She is working on it.

 On the other hand, it is her wish that the article prepared in English will be distributed in many African and other developing countries. To achieve this, it can already be witnessed that the girl's maturity and her mother Jerusalem Gebreyesus's strong femininity and her mortality for the cause she thought about will be translated into action.

Such scientific knowledge; In her book, Leah mentions the question of what motivated her to do a job that requires experience and hard work. There is a tradition in the family where she grew up. That is, the family members including Leah and her younger sister have a constant habit of volunteering with various charities. In the process, when Leah was 14 years old, she had the chance to visit a hospital. During her visit to the hospital, she was able to see children suffering from various malnutrition problems. The condition of the children can never be removed from her mind, so she decides to do something about it. For this reason, she has been working with the hospital's health experts for a few months to provide treatment and nutritious food for children suffering from this problem at February Hospital. Why did children suffer from malnutrition during her stay in the hospital? A question began to haunt her. Based on the responses she received from the hospital's health professionals and mothers, she came to prepare this book by understanding that the main cause of children's lack of food is the lack of awareness of our society, even though there is chronic poverty.

It is a well-known medical fact that the mental development of children affected by malnutrition is affected. It is known that infertility is not only physical but also mental. In this case, the writer is a girl who has been able to accurately understand and describe the impact on children's learning ability and thinking horizons. May her hand be blessed!

To prepare the book, she was able to copy a lot of texts, which is not expected for her age, and to describe her references in the book appropriately; She has cited nearly fifty reference articles, books, and research papers. We hope that Leah will do her future higher education in the field of health and contribute more to her country.

Leah also has another sacred idea: she has pledged to donate the proceeds from the book to Andi-Mama, a non-profit organization that helps mothers who are struggling to raise their children. Andi-Mama is a non-profit organization that produces paper crafts and sells handicrafts to underprivileged mothers for training.

 Currently, she is giving training to 50 needy mothers that she found in February Hospital, which she earned through book launch and market sales. She said that 100 mothers will also participate in this training. What makes this charity unique is that it is based on an approach that allows mothers to work and have enough income while keeping their children at home. Therefore, they do not abandon their children and go to work, or they do not starve their children and themselves by sitting at home without work and income.

The purpose of this article is not to introduce or review Leah's book, but to highlight her example to all of us, how much her parents have worked for their children and how to empower children who will survive for the country and society. By the way, anyone who knows Leah's father and mother closely knows that they are very hard working parents. It can be seen that their hard work and their strength is married to their children.

Our children trust when we trust;

They love when we love. When we celebrate, they celebrate.

When we are humble, they will be humble.

When we are struggling, they are struggling!

Ms. Jerusalem and Mr. Andualem are good examples of the fact that our children are a reflection of our parents.
