Addis Ababa: The natives of Gondar built and handed over 6 houses
#Ethiopia St Michael's Twa Association, natives of Gondar living in Addis Ababa, built and handed over 6 houses to 6 low-income residents in Jankel sub-city.
Mr. Bayuh Abuhai, the First Deputy Mayor of Gondar City Administration, who was present at the graduation program, said that they have shown that it is possible to do great work in a short period of time if there is unity.
The first deputy mayor said that we call our hero the one who understands the problems of the society and is driven to solve the problems of the people.
Gondar city has been paying the price for Ethiopia's unity, Mr. Bayuh said that there are many questions of our people that can be solved at the city, state and federal level.
The mayor recalled that some volunteers had built the school where they studied in order to improve the brokenness of our city's schools.
The first deputy mayor called on the youth and rich people of our city to work hand in hand with the government to repair the houses of the poor, beautify our surroundings, plant saplings in the coming winter months and fill other government deficits.
He said that the rich people from outside and inside will be on the side of our people and we will cut a lot of ribbons, but our city will not go back due to the security problem.
He said that if the people can line up together to resolve the problems we face peacefully and through dialogue, and maintain the peace of our area, our city is a city with great potential for investment in tourism.
In addition, Ato Bayuh stated that they are ready to solve the problems of the people by building a strong leadership together with the people.
On his part, the Executive of Jantekel sub-city, Mr. Halabham Ashagre thanked the St. Michael's Tswa Association for understanding the problems of his people and giving thanks for their dedication and support.
The executive stated that they spent 4.5 million birr and built 6 houses and delivered them to 6 low-income residents.
Ato Halabham said that we will work to change the living conditions of our people who live in the sub-district, where the sun and rain alternate.
Ato Haftu Sifiyu, a member of St. Michael's Tswa Association, said that we will continue with the house repair work.
The members of St. Michael's Tswa Society were presented with certificates and awards for their contribution.
