The sports facilities built in Madinawa will be open for use with the proceeds from the sale of the Adder Generation book.

Addis Ababa City Administration Youth and Sports Office announced that 12 sports venues built in all sub-cities in Addis Ababa will be open for service from tomorrow.

It will be remembered that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) recently finished reading the book of Adder Generation to use the proceeds for development works in different areas of Ethiopia.

The Addis Ababa city administration has been working towards the goal of using the proceeds from the sale of the book for the construction of sports facilities and children's playgrounds.

According to the Head of Addis Ababa City Administration Youth and Sports Office, Lai Deje, various sports centers and children's playgrounds have been built in all sub-cities of Addis Ababa with the proceeds from the sale of the book.

Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abebe recalled that the construction was started three months ago.

According to this, 12 projects built in Yeka and Bole sub-towns in the first round will be inaugurated and open for service from tomorrow.

Among the sports facilities to be inaugurated are football, soccer, basketball, handball, tennis courts and children's playgrounds.

He also mentioned the inclusion of medium-sized stadiums where football matches are held, especially for youth and clubs, which will alleviate the lack of practice areas, said the head of the office.

He also pointed out that the cost of the construction was covered by the Addis Ababa city administration in the first round from the sale of Adder Generation books, more than 150 million birr.

ESA reported that since the sale of the book is still continuing, the work of opening it for service will continue while completing the second round of projects in the future.
