The Government Communication Service has announced that the first phase of the peace talks that have been taking place in Tanzania has been completed today.

In a statement issued by the Government Communication Service, he said that the discussion was mostly carried out in a positive manner, but on some issues, it was not possible to reach an agreement in this phase of the discussion.

In order to end the conflict in a lasting and peaceful way, both parties agreed on the importance of continuing the peace talks, the statement said.

It was also stated that the government is determined to resolve the conflict in a peaceful manner according to the constitution of Ethiopia and the basic principles that have been followed so far.

Using this good opportunity and a good start to solve problems through dialogue, the service reaffirms the firm position of the Ethiopian government to resolve the issue.
