The President of the Federal Supreme Court, Ms. Amaya Esenafi, announced that the Federal Supreme Court has officially started its work for the fiscal year today, October 1, 2015.

 

The judicial service of the Federal Supreme Court, which has been closed for a while due to vacation, was officially launched today in the presence of the Presidents of the Federal Courts of First Instance, High Courts and Supreme Courts.

 

The President of the Federal Supreme Court, Mrs. Amaya Eshenafi, announced in her opening speech that on the official opening of the court today, 270 records have been employed in the Supreme Court alone, and expressed that she has full confidence that the entire court community will handle the cases diligently.

 

In her speech, the President stated that the fiscal year 2014 was the year in which the judicial and administrative work was performed better. Although 6,501 records were transferred to 2015, the judges were able to settle 2,207 records by spending the month of August in their 2-month vacation period provided by law.

 

On the opening day of the federal courts today, the president wished the court leaders, judges, experts and support staff a good career and thanked them for the extra work they did during their vacation.

 

According to the information of the Federal Supreme Court of Ethiopia, the president, who stated that he has started working by issuing various guidelines to make judicial service and administrative work accessible and accountable, the ones that are in progress will be completed soon.

 

In relation to the execution of records, it is remembered that out of 25,480 records presented to the judges in the 2014 fiscal year, 18,979 records were settled.
