In order to ease the living pressure of the residents, the city administration is introducing various grain products to the market.

Accordingly, one kilo of teff is being sold for 50 to 56 birr.

Various grain and agricultural products are being provided to the residents at reasonable prices in cooperation with the Oromia region through the cooperatives and 10 different sales areas in our city.

Among the grain products offered to the market, teff, wheat, corn and barley have entered the market in large quantities, and vegetable and fruit products are also included.

The supply of grain was done through the Oromia traders' unions, and the supply will continue until the scarcity and high prices are resolved by creating market linkages, Oromia Vice President Ato Awelu Abdi said.

Head of Addis Ababa Trade Bureau, Binyam Makhru, said that the high price of teff in the city was caused by some traders, and to solve the problem, the city administration discussed with the Oromia region and said that it offered the product.

The city administration will take strict action against those who hide products and raise prices unfairly in order to aggravate the inflation.
