Addis Ababa launches 1 month electric transport advertising platform

The Ministry of Transport and Logistics of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has launched a month-long advertising campaign in the capital to promote electric vehicles nationwide.

The program was attended by the Minister of Transport and Logistics II and other senior executives, investors, electric vehicle manufacturers and stakeholders.

Minister Moges II said the electric vehicles, which are being hit by the increase in fuel prices, will help alleviate the problem.

He said the vehicles have contributed to the country's environmental protection and climate change.

The electric vehicles have a motor power of 25 kW and a battery capacity of 26.68 kW.

Oromia Bank wins European Society for Quality Research Award 2022

#Ethiopia | Oromia Bank has been awarded the European Community for Quality Research Award for 2022.

Oromia Bank, which has been established for 14 years, received the award in recognition of its international trade and service excellence as well as its ongoing transformation activities.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Teferi Mekonnen, said the award for service quality is a symbol of the Ethiopian banking industry and a source of pride for the country.

He said 43 companies from 35 countries around the world participated in the award:

Given the multifaceted challenges facing Ethiopia, he said the Bank's international award at this time is a positive development for the country and the Bank.

It is said that the award will inspire them to work harder in the future for the country's financial sector.

The award ceremony was held on June 26 and 27, 2014 in Barcelona, Spain.
