Kenenisa Belkele has announced that he has finished his preparation for Paris Olympic marathon.

It was said that the chambers of commerce in the building called the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Industry should pay up to 60 percent rent.

The historic Chamber of Commerce building in Mexico has sparked controversy 

#Ethiopia It was heard that the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Associations, which have been serving for many years, will be made to pay up to 60 percent of the building's rent.

Capital has heard that about six businesses and associations, including the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, have been asked to pay 60 percent of the rent for the offices they have been using for 5 years.

The new board leadership of the Ethiopian Chamber told the Chamber of Commerce to vacate the building within 7 days.

The Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sector Associations has been serving the building for the past 60 years and is among those who have been asked to leave, which has threatened the services of its 17 thousand members, capital sources said.  

It is said that the Ethiopian business and sector associations made this decision because of the new direction of the board and the development of the corridor. However, the same sources stated that the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Industry has a share in the ownership of the building. 

The president of Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sessab Abafira, told Capital about the controversy, "He has started managing his own building near Mexico." As the Chamber of Commerce has a total of 21 members including regional ones, it provides services to all its members and does not provide houses as gifts. 

On July 19, 2016, the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sector Associations opened the building that was used by the Chambers of Trade and Sector Associations for many years. According to the direction set by the new board of directors, they have given an order to vacate their rooms in the building within one week. 

Among the associations that mainly reside in the building are Addis Ababa, Oromia and Ethiopian National Council of Trade and Sectoral Associations. 

In his explanation regarding the letter written by the President of the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Seseb said, "The letter we wrote is of two types. The one we wrote to the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Industry says that the basement of the building cannot be used as a store following the development of the corridor. It should only be used for the purpose it was built for." 

According to Mr. Sebseb, after this, the Council of Trade and Sectoral Associations in the building announced that the Board of Directors has given a decision to pay 60% of the rent at a discount of 40% and to live there for 5 years.

They manage their offices. Large and empty offices may not continue as they used to; Now, under the new leadership, the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has started managing its own building.
