It is said that it is necessary to work in coordination to enable job opportunities to be created by modernizing the agricultural sector and increasing production and productivity.

Dredawa Administration's Work Skills and Technology Development Office has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Agriculture, Water, Minerals and Energy Office to modernize agriculture.

At the ceremony, the head of the Agriculture, Water, Minerals and Energy Bureau, Mr. Nuredin Abdella, said that the main purpose of the contract agreement is to use the existing employment opportunities in rural areas to create sustainable employment opportunities and ensure the satisfaction of the citizens.

He pointed out that the agreement signed by his office with the Bureau of Skills and Technology Development is an important and viable way to work together in the future. Ato Nuredin stated that it is believed to be able to fill the gaps in the alternative energy sector.

Mr. Robel Getachew, Head of Work Skills and Technology Development Office of Dredawa Administration, explained that this agreement will ensure the benefits of farmers and pastoralists.

They stated that their institute is producing advanced agricultural technologies and providing them to the farmers, producing and selling solar energy and repairing them, promoting the use of electric stoves, and providing access to the production of block and improved fuel-efficient stoves.

Ato Robel pointed out that modernizing agricultural equipment that increases production and productivity, as well as expanding the use of irrigation, designing and implementing problem-solving procedures and putting them into operation are planned to be carried out in the technology sector in the memorandum of understanding.

The head of the office pointed out that awareness trainings will be provided by the office to solve the skill gap in the agriculture sector based on the problems identified in the study.

In general, by putting the memorandum of understanding into action in a short period of time, linking the agricultural sector with technology, the effectiveness of the sector's demands and improving the lives of the farmers in a sustainable way is a task that cannot be said for tomorrow, so a message has been conveyed that all stakeholders should work in coordination in addition to the institutions that have signed the agreement.
