The early childhood development program week was officially launched yesterday by the mayor of Addis Ababa, Adanech Abebe.

 

Dr. Jamalu Janber, head of Addis Ababa City's Beauty and Green Development Office, who inaugurated the center and opened it for service, said that such centers reduce the pressure of mothers and the children's safety, as the pressure of mothers in our country is high.

 

He said that Addis Ababa city administration is working to ensure that the children of tomorrow are safe and that mothers can leave their children and do their work in an environment where they can live without risk.

 

This Early Childhood Development Center, which was inaugurated and opened for service today, provides services to 50 children between the ages of 7 months and 3 years. The Addis Ababa City Administration, in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Social Affairs and Partner for Change, was built for the convenience of the children at a cost of 2 million birr and will be built for future early childhood development centers. It is a model center.
