Condominium tax payment

 Pay by June 30!

 

#Ethiopia The Addis Ababa Revenue Office announced that it is possible to pay the tax payment for condominiums until June 30, 2015.

 

According to the head of the Deputy Office of Tax Affairs in Addis Ababa Bureau of Revenue, Ato Zegye Laineh told the Ethiopian Press Organization today; Although normally the roof and wall house tax had to be paid regularly until February 30th, since the tax for condominiums has been newly introduced, residents will be able to pay it until June 30th by explaining their case.

 

Mr. Zegye said that how taxpayers should be treated is set in the district guidelines where they are treated in each branch. Therefore, the taxpayers have given the reason why they have not paid yet and announced that they can pay only until June 30, 2015.

 

Mr. Zegye also explained that although the tax distribution of urban land and house has a difference between private and commercial, it is not only about condominiums, but about all the houses in the city, from residences to buildings.

 

He recalled that the tax had been implemented since 1937 AD and was adjusted in 1968 AD and it was stipulated when the decree was issued that the rental rate would be updated every time.

  

Therefore, since these condominiums did not exist when the decree was issued; He pointed out that houses in the city have been included in the decree so that they can be included in the tax system after studying what the current rent is like.
