In Amhara region, more than 880 million birr is being collected from the sale of the book of "Additional Generation" and the related program.

 

It is planned to collect more than 880 million birr in the Amhara region from the first round of sales of the "Additional Generation" book and from the fundraising programs that will be held in one month.

 

Adviser to the Head of Government of the Amhara Region on Public Participation and Organization, Gashaw Akuwa (Dr.) mentioned that 11,000 books, 10,000 in Amharic and 1,000 in Afan Oromo languages, have arrived and they are all in the process of being sold.

 

Apart from offering the book for sale, it should be sold based on its advantages and benefits, so that it can be introduced and generate better income, and it is of great benefit to the society at all levels, so that it can be used for building ideas, he said.

 

He said that it is planned to conduct revenue collection programs in the region so that the book can be a potential for development and investors, institutions, famous people and different sections of the society will participate.

 

He pointed out that the income will be used for the maintenance, decoration and improvement of Fasil Tower and asked the people of the region to actively participate in the purchase of the book and the fundraising for this good cause.

 

He said that it is planned to collect 4 million 950 thousand birr from the direct sale of 11 thousand books and 875 million from revenue collection programs, totaling more than 880 million birr.

 

He also pointed out that there is an institution that has bought 1 book for 500 thousand birr.

 

He mentioned that the work has been going on since March 14 and explained that it will last for a month.

 

He pointed out that two studies have been conducted for the construction work. The results of the first study conducted two years ago indicated that it would take up to 500 million birr in terms of time and it would take 1 and a half to 2 years.

 

He explained that the results of the second study conducted a year ago indicated that up to 745 million birr would be needed and would be completed within 1 year to 1 year and 8 months.

 

He said that the first thing is to raise money, and he told Fana Broadcasting Corporation that since studies have been done and the price is increasing, a new study may be conducted depending on the situation.
