The Minister of State for Expenditure, Ambassador Misganu Agega, had a fruitful discussion in Geneva with the Deputy Director General of the World Trade Organization, Xiangqin Zhang, regarding Ethiopia's accession process.

 

He also stated that Ethiopia is working to quickly complete the prerequisites for joining the World Trade Organization.

 

Ambassador Misganu also said that Ethiopia is working with determination to overcome the complexities of joining the trade organization.

 

On his part, the Deputy Director of the World Trade Organization, Xiangqin Zhang, praised the speed and determination with which Ethiopia has gone to accelerate the process of joining the World Trade Organization.

 

He said that Ethiopia is a priority country for the trade organization and we recognize its efforts to overcome the complex process of joining the World Trade Organization.

 

ESA reported that Ambassador Misganu's discussion with the Deputy Director General of the organization made it possible for Ethiopia's efforts to join the trade organization to be seen positively.
