Addis Ababa, November 2022: The National Disaster Risk Management Commission has announced that humanitarian aid distribution in Tigray region has continued.

 

According to this, since the peace agreement, more than 78 thousand metric tons of food and non-food items have been distributed by the government and partners to the citizens in Tigray region.

 

The commission announced to Fana Broadcasting Corporation that 72 thousand 160.8 metric tons of food and nutritious food have been distributed in the region up to November 23, 2015.

 

Of this, 13 thousand 686 point 8 metric tons of food, 1 thousand 13 point 76 metric tons of non-food items and 575 thousand 908 liters of fuel were transported by the government.

 

It was mentioned that the government is distributing the necessary humanitarian aid to the areas where partners cannot reach.

 

It is stated that 78 thousand 742 point 16 metric tons of food and non-food relief materials have been distributed by the government and partners.

 

In addition to the government, 23 partners participated in the humanitarian aid distribution process, the commission pointed out.

 

It has been stated that the Afar-Abala, Gondar-Maitbari-Sher and Kombolcha-Kobo-Alamata corridors can be used for the transportation of humanitarian aid.
