Addis Ababa, Ethiopian Agricultural Works Corporation announced that it has provided more than 62 billion birr worth of agricultural inputs and farm equipment to consumers in the last financial year.

 

The CEO of the corporation Mr. Kfle Woldemaryam made a statement regarding the institution's 2014 performance.

 

In their statement, it was stated that in the 2014 fiscal year, more than 14 thousand hectares of land were covered with the best seeds and a harvest of 282 thousand quintals was collected.

 

The information we received from the corporation indicates that the corporation provided 12 million 876 thousand 620 quintals of soil fertilizer, 1 million 59 thousand 821 liters of liquid and 68 thousand 170 kilograms of powdered agrochemicals to consumers in the fiscal year.

 

Ato Kfle Woldemaryam stated that he has provided 3 thousand 870 chemical spraying equipment to farmers, investors engaged in agriculture sector and other beneficiaries.

 

He mentioned that the corporation has imported 46 tractors from foreign countries and provided them to consumers. He also said that in 2014, he earned nearly 1 million US dollars from the exported products.
